I haven't gotten a quote for it. If I moved forward with addressing it, I would then have the car fully re-painted. That's a bigger investment than I was ready to do. The only new paint on the car is the engine bay when I had the engine pulled out.

Thanks, it's a show stopper. You don't see many Dusters at the car shows. I'm usually the only one. It's an overlooked muscle car. But, this one stands out. You're proud to open your hood. Everything is clean, including the restored the engine and hood. Then, when you open the trunk, the subwoofers and amplifier and perfectly positioned. Good luck in the auction!

His had a 340 wedge in it and he out ran most 442's, camaro's, firebirds etc. he dragged raced. How much work would it be to drop the rear end back down close to level with the front. Does everything work on the car as it should? Thank you. ...

Hi, thanks for the inquiry. It's easy to drop it down. I had the rear shackles put in place specifically to raise it. They can be removed and lowered to align with the back end. I've seen it both ways though, and think that my way is much cooler. All the gauges work except the battery gauge. That gauge is an amp meter. Originally from the factory all electricity going to the car ran through that gauge. Back then the total draw of the car would not exceed 50 to 60 amps. Now with fuel injection, the high amperage alternator and other items that I’ve added, it can easily see a draw of over 100 amps. This would unfortunately burn up the gauge. The battery gauge works, technically, but it has been disconnected. There should be some video of the car running on the posting. The sound dampening throughout the entire floor base helps minimize any vibration. The headlights were upgraded after I had the custom electrical system completed a couple years back. It was necessary with the high-end stereo system and amplifier I installed. The only project this car really needs is a custom paint job. It still looks very good, but not a true show car. If you’re planning on driving a lot, a custom paint job would be risky. I did a color correction a year ago to brighten. It hasn’t been driven a lot in the past few years – stays mainly in the garage. I’m just ready for a new car project. I have my eyes on a few. Hope this helps.

I would have to create a separate video for that. The weather in Seattle is very rainy at the moment, so I would to take it outside. Here is the video I made from this past fall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PugiJO2DepE There is no rust on the car, although there is some paint chipping on the inside of the driver's door. When the engine was rebuilt a few years ago, I had the engine bay repainted to factory new. I never did the a custom paint job on the rest of the car.
