This 1970 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 is an open-top sport-utility vehicle that received an inside-and-out restoration with upgraded equipment including a 4” suspension lift, 35” Nitto tires, a modern sound system, and black-finished trim. Power for this custom build comes from an Edelbrock-upgraded 350ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission. Finished in Burnt Orange Metallic with a removable soft top over a replacement black vinyl interior, this first-generation K5 Blazer is now offered with a clear New Mexico title in the seller’s name.
The full-size K5 Blazer sport utility vehicle shared underpinning with the Chevrolet C/K Series of pickups and first launched for the 1969 model year. This Blazer from the following year was the recipient of a complete customization along with cosmetic restoration, benefitting from a fresh coat of Burnt Orange Metallic paint contrasted by black-finished surrounding exterior trim. The resulting rust-free, straight body rides on a short wheelbase and shares treatment including stainless-steel sideview mirrors, tubular nerf bars, a drop-down rear tailgate, and a tow receiver. The seller notes that a hardtop is not included.
Aluminum black-finished 20” Fuel multi-spoke wheels are mounted to 35” Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires all the way around. The body rides on a 4” suspension lift.
The interior of the cab provides seating via replacement black vinyl bucket seats along with new door panels and matching carpeting which is protected by Harley-Davidson branded rubber floor mats. The cab is dressed in woodgrain veneer on the glove compartment, and additional amenities include a stereo, aluminum door sill plates, an aftermarket steering wheel, a center console, and a newer audio system with JL speakers.
Instrumentation is delivered by a 100-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 75k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 350ci V8 breathes through a chrome-finished Edelbrock air cleaner and is mounted within a matte-black engine bay. Power is fed to all four wheels via a column-shifted automatic transmission.
